Mark has over 15 years experience in national and international service-based organizations across food and beverage, professional services, education, and non-profit organizations. As a general manager, HR director, sales specialist, and trainer, he has discovered a bottom-up approach for healthy work culture and generosity-based customer service.

Charles Hummel wrote a book in the 1960’s entitled “Tyranny of the Urgent”, where he details the decisions to let the urgent tasks get in the way of the important ones. His thesis still proves true to this day, because as we make our plans for each day, all to often we can’t get to the important decisions, because we are hit with the urgent ones that must be resolved quickly. If we’re not careful, these urgent tasks can and will lead us away from what’s most valuable, causing us to miss opportunities to focus on what’s truly important. Cue Mark: he knows the pressure all too well in having to navigate urgent tasks to stay aligned with important tasks. The way to do it? Stay aligned in your organizational values! They provide the underground roots, so that over time, the healthy fruit shows up in the life of your business, school, non-profit, church, or family.
